Art Around Adams in Normal Heights & Kensington, San Diego

As we are growing to become a substantial part of the San Diego art community, we need more volunteers to join a creative dynamic art loving team! Being a part of Art Around Adams includes helping us envision and manifest each event while it grows with more venues, artists and musicians. It can also include interacting with the spirited slice of the local business community that supports the arts.

We would love to have you join us!

Volunteer to get the word out:

Art Around Adams will extend from 30th Street in Normal Heights to Kensington Drive in Kensington. This will incorporate over a mile of shops, galleries, restaurants, and other businesses into an interactive art and culture event not experienced anywhere else in San Diego. This event will be highly publicized in the media and witnessed by thousands of people.

Every business who participates will be promoted as contributing members of the event and all sponsors will experience tremendous marketing and promotion for their involvement. Art Around Adams intends to ultimately revitalize the neighborhood by increasing awareness for all commercial entities through the power of art. Art Around Adams is meant to support local art and provide a means for participants to contribute for the betterment of the community.

Volunteer to get the word out: Distribute Flyers and Posters to businesses around San Diego that support the arts Distribute flyers at events such as Ray at Night, Kettner Nights, and The Thursday Night Thing Help on the day of the event - three shifts available: Volunteer the night of the event: 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. - Place small signs along Adams Avenue to denote participants and trolley stops 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. - Set up outdoor performance spaces along adams 6:00 to 11:00 p.m. - Help with live performance art 4:30 to 10:00 pm - Be an "Arty Guide" and help distribute maps and explain the event to the public To volunteer for Art Around Adams please email the Art Around Adams Committee.
