Art Around Adams

Art Around Adams began with Normal Heights' artists and business owners getting together at a local coffee house to create an event that would focus on the exhibition of local art in business storefronts. They discovered that there were a number of art studios (comprised of very talented and internationally known artists), a framing shop, coffee houses, antique stores, and gift shops within walking distance. With this realization, Art Around Adams was born.

On April 3, 2004, with a limited budget from businesses and artists, Art Around Adams was launched. The first event was considered a major success, with audience estimates at over 300. A trolley was added to provide free transportation along the Avenue, an event staple to this day.

In 2008, Adam Rosen of Walk the Walk and Exodus Studios came on as the event organizer.

Adam Rosen, founder of Walk the Walk Presents... has branched off and teamed up with artist, Aaron Cathcart to bring San Diego Exodus Studios. Exodus Studios has two divisions, both deeply rooted in San Diego's music & art scene. An event production division focusing on bringing high quality events. As well as a physical studio with artist work spaces & music rehearsal spaces (opening soon) in the Little Italy area of San Diego.

Walk the Walk is an event production company founded in March 2008 by lifelong friends Jon Block and Adam Rosen. While their events provide an exhilarating getaway from conventional socializing, Walk the Walk's real aim is to bridge the gap between artists and the public, shifting energies towards supporting local talent, and honoring those who stay the creative course no matter the obstacles.

Adam Rosen is best known for his work on the monthly event Sight & Sound, held every third Saturday in North Park. He also worked on North by North Park and the 2008 SoCo Music Experience.

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - April 30, 2010 - Exodus Studios, an events production company, announced today that the seventh annual "Art Around Adams 2010: Back to the Streets," a music and art walk extending 1.6 miles on Adams Avenue is happening on June 5 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
